Huawei Watch Fit 2 vs Fitbit Versa 4 Which Will You Choose

For this comparison, I’m looking at the Huawei Watch Fit 2 and the Fitbit Versa 4. If you have read any of my other articles, you know that I wont waste your time with specs that you can find on many other websites. My focus is instead on what the user experience is like, which at the end of the day is really the most important factor.

It is worth bearing in mind that the outcome of any comparison between smart watch brands does not necessarily signify that one is superior to the other. Each manufacturer has something to offer the user, and that is something that should be taken into account when making a decision.

In this comparison the Huawei Watch Fit 2 wins this comparison with a final score of 5-1. Please note that this is based of my own experience and that of the individuals I spoke to about their experiences with the two watches.

Smart Features : Winner Huawei Watch Fit 2

Fitbit Versa 4 : Smart Features, Alexa enabled, new google maps and google wallet

Both devices provide the same comprehensive range of smart features, including contactless payments (NFC), find my watch, and a variety of helpful quick replies for the phone or messaging.

But I do have my favourite feaute from each device for example the Huawei Watch Fit 2 has the ability to control your music. I use this feature a lot and it’s so seamless when i’m exercising, and controlling my music playlists.

Whereas the Fitbit Versa 4 it’s the contactless payment experience. Now Google pay is built in the Fitbit app and it’s very reliable, especially all around the world where the Google pay has a strong user base. As far as Huawei pay goes, I have trouble getting it to work here in New Zealand.

In this category I have chosen the Huawei Watch Fit 2 as the winner for it’s ability to control music.

Health Features : Winner Fitbit Versa 4 (With Premium)

Fitbit Versa 4 : Health features as a premium subscriber is very good.

For those who are looking to track their health, the Fitbit Versa 4 is the best choice. With its reliable and trusted reputation in sleep and heart rate monitoring, it’s sure to provide the user with great results.

Third Party Apps : Winner Huawei Watch Fit 2

Huawei Watch Fit 2 : Ability to link to third party apps can be a challenge if you dont have a Huawei phone.

When considering third party apps, my inclination is to use them indirectly by forming a connection or partnership and connecting your third party account. Both the Fitbit App and the Huawei Health app have the potential to link to external apps, but for this to happen you would need to allow certain permissions that will give the third party app access to your Health Data.

With the Watch Fit 2 I have used popular third party apps like Strava, Adiddas running and Komoot to track running and hiking routes and my activities. As for the Fitbit Versa 4 I have used popular third party apps like Under Armour Map my run.

In this category I have chosen the Huawei Watch Fit 2 as the winner. Because the Watch Fit 2 is a watch tailor made for a active person, it’s third party out reach is a little bigger than what Fitbit can connect to.

Workout Mode Ability : Winner Huawei Watch Fit 2

Huawei Watch Fit 2 : Training load feature is similar to Fitbits daily readiness score. A great feature if you are someone that likes to manage your time.

Both devices offer more than just the ability to track multiple different types of workouts, and when it comes to tracking your workout, they’re both pretty good. To compare the devices’ performance in tracking workouts of varying intensity, I have created a rating system to rate each device’s performance at different levels of difficulty, such as easy, intermediate and advanced.

But if you’re an active person and continuously push yourself with intense workouts, then the Watch Fit 2 is the ideal device for you.

Final Conclusion

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have learnt a lot about what both devices have to offer, and I hope that this article will help you choose which device is best for you.

Like I mentioned earlier, that the final result does not make it better than the other watch. It all comes down to your personal preferences. All though the score is a little lower on the Fitbit Versa 4 it is still a very powerful device.

One thing is certain, this type of article clearly demonstrates where each device excels and where it falls short. Summarizing the Versa 4 in this comparison could be done by saying that its strong points are its health features and basic workout tracking. As for the Watch Fit 2, it is more suitable for someone who is highly active.
