Holistic health is a philosophy of healthcare that emphasizes the connection of mind, body, and spirit. The goal is to achieve maximum well-being, not merely the absence of disease. This approach to health considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, emotions, relationships, environment — in the quest for optimal health and wellness.

While many people think of holistic health as an alternative to Western medicine, it’s actually a complementary approach. In other words, holistic health can be used in addition to conventional treatment. For example, you might see a traditional doctor for a physical illness and also see a holistic practitioner for stress management or emotional support.

Samsung wants to develop the galaxy watch to not just be a device you wear but one that is part of your daily routine to help you improve your overall health and wellness. But is heading in the right direction.

How Do You Activate Advanced Interval Training Feature

Well I will keep this very short and simple. From what I can gather is that the feature only works with 2 workout profiles, running and cycling. In this quick tutorial I have chosen the cycling option

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Advanced Interval Training 1
First step is to find either the running or cycling workout profiles. Then you click on the gear icon below it to activate the advanced settings for that work out feature

Once you clicked the gear icon, target is greyed out and turned off by default. Turn it on by sliding the bar to the right.

Now you have created the settings for workout 1. You can rinse and repeat for workout 2. Also you can touch on the word Workout 1 to change the distance, and any other settings that will suit your training intensity.

Also you can scroll down a little further on the final screen to determine the number of sets, and also your recovery time between workout 1 and workout 2.

Interval Training Feature was collectively developed with Strava and Adidas Running

If you are not familiar with Strava or Adidas running, they are both highly ranked apps for high interval training on android, google play. And Samsung has been working with both companies to develop this new feature.

Adidas running is a app that gives you audio coaching, so you can focus on your form and breathing as you run. They also have a feature called “zones,” which lets you know when you need to pick up the pace or slow down.

Is this New Feature Available to Galaxy Versions Prior

If you are wondering if this new feature will be available to other Samsung’s watch’s before the Galaxy Watch 4, The answer is No. This new feature is developed into the new Google and Samsung Ecosystem WearOS. All previous versions of the Galaxy watch’s was using the Tizen operating systems.

However with the Tizen now joining Google and Samsung. Samsung maybe porting this feature but highly unlikely. Samsung has already ported over some features such as new watch faces and fall detection to be compatible with Tizen operating systems. If there is any more? not sure, however They are more likely focusing on a new Samsung Google Tizen ecosystem.

Should you Buy a Galaxy Watch 4 and Get the Benefits of The Advanced Interval Training Feature

In this case, I would say No. I would probably wait for the new Samsung watch’s to be released in 2022. It’s a great feature but in my opinion would think it is beneficial to wait. That way you will have a new Tizen-google-Samsung operating system. A entirely new Ecosystem.

I think this feature would be great on a the new Galaxy Watch Active. The minimalistic watches are very popular like Fitbit Luxe, Garmin Vivosmart 5 or Apple Watch SE. Very low cost but good value for money. I can see this feature on those type of watches in the future.

If you are looking for a good fitness tracker with some great health and wellness features, I would recommend checking out the Garmin Vivoactive series or Fitbit Inspire series. They have some good features that might help you achieve your goals.
