Huawei Band 7 : New Workout Status Feature Supports Trusport Analytics

Huawei has always been a company that produces great quality products at an affordable price. And their latest fitness tracker, the Huawei Band 7, is no exception. This band offers some impressive features, such as heart rate tracking and the new workout status feature. With workout status, you can get detailed information about your running workouts, including your training load, running ability index, and V02 max. So if you’re looking for an affordable fitness tracker with lots of features, the Huawei Band 7 is definitely worth considering!

Workout Status is A New Feature Added To The Huawei Band 7

For the first time Workout status has been added into the Huawei Band series for the first time. But in order to include the new workout status feature, Huawei had to improve it’s heart rate tracking. Why? Well, when the Huawei Band 7 was released the Huawei GT watch Runner was released a month prior. Since the release of the Huawei GT watch Runner Trusport was born.

From personal experience Trusport analytics is a amazing feature. Crazy thing about this is Huawei include Trusport into the Huawei Band 7. Now Let’s not’s too excited, if you require more accurate running analytics you still need to purchase the Huawei GT watch runner. Because the Band 7 has a limited number of sensors built in, it can offer a reasonable amount of feedback to your workouts. Here is what the workout status feature can offer to you

  • Training load (my favourite feature) : Can be tracked from the 96 workout modes built in the Huawei Band 7
  • Running ability index
  • V02max (only for outside running only)

From personal experience I get 6 intense workout days (not 14 days as it is advertised) never the less having features like training load, running ability index (RAI) and V02max in a slim fitness tracker is fairly impressive. However from my experience please be aware that the workout feature can only provide a close estimate. If you require something more accurate you will need to shell out a little more cash for Huawei’s high end watch GT watch runner. From my point of view it’s not to bad, only because the Huawei Band 7 aligns with my personal fitness goals. Which is to be able to see my training load so I can better improve my performance for future runs.

All in all, the Huawei Band is a great fitness tracker that offers a lot of features at an affordable price. If you’re looking for a tracker with detailed running analytics, the Huawei GT watch runner is definitely worth considering.

Training Load Feature is A Feature You Should Pay More Attention Too

I have already wrote a article about the training load feature on the Huawei Band 7. It’s definitely a feature I always want to have. Only because I have a limited amount of time during the day and I want to maximise the moment each time. There are 96 workout modes already loaded into the Huawei Band 7. I dont use many workout modes, never the less what workout mode you use, your training load is then recorded.

The thing is with the training load feature is that from personal experience it will hold you accountable. Training load is all about training smarter, and what it does is that if your training load is quite high then you have to reflect on what you have done in the last 7 days. It will take into account things like your heart rate, how long you workout and the intensity of your workout.

Benefit’s of the training load feature is that you can use it as a guide. If your training load is too high, then you need to cut back on your workouts. On the other hand, if your training load is quite low then you need to do more workouts.

I find that the training load feature is more beneficial to people who are just starting out their fitness journey. I would definitely recommend people to use the training load feature on the Huawei Band 7.

Running Ability Index A Handy Feature

Running ability index (RAI) isn’t a bad feature from personal experience. The Huawei Band 7 has a built in accelerometer and a gyroscope that can track your running ability index. It wont offer the same accuracy as the Huawei Watch GT Runner, however it can offer some tips about your running form. I have already wrote a article about my experience with the running ability index, however I think that if your a person that is low on funds and has only found a new passion in running. With a very accurate heart rate tracking system, the Huawei Band can offer a very reasonable estimate on your running ability.

The Benefits of Running Ability Index is that it can act as a guide to improve your running form. I would recommend this feature to people who are starting their fitness journey and want to use the Huawei Band 7 as a guide to better themselves.

The Huawei Band 7 Can Only Be Obtained From Outdoor Running Workouts

V02max is the maximal oxygen uptake achieved during running. The average person has a VO₂max of about 35 to 45 mL/kg/min. A highly trained athlete can achieve up to 70 mL/kg/min. The value indicates the amount of oxygen that your body can utilize during exercise. It is generally used as a predictor of aerobic endurance and cardiorespiratory fitness.

Your V02max can only be obtained from outside running workouts only. The heart rate monitor on the band will not work as well when you are running on a treadmill.

From my experience the V02max on the Huawei Band 7 isn’t too bad. I mean it’s not accurate, however it does meet my fitness requirements. If V02max accuracy is something that you really truly value then the Huawei Band 7 may not be the watch for you.

The benefits of having a V02max on the Huawei Band 7 is that you can use it as a guide to see if you are pushing your body hard enough. If you’re not pushing your body hard enough then you’re not going to get an accurate reading. I would recommend this feature to people who want to use the Huawei Band 7 as a guide to better themselves.

Final Conclusion

The Huawei Band 7 is a great fitness tracker for those who are looking for an affordable option that still offers plenty of features. The new workout status feature is a great addition, and I’m impressed with the accuracy of the heart rate tracking. If you’re looking for a fitness tracker to help you improve your running, the Huawei Band 7 is definitely worth considering.

The training load feature is particularly useful, as it allows you to see how hard you’ve been training and whether or not you need to take a break. The running ability index is also a great feature, as it gives you an idea of your current fitness level. Overall, I’m fairly impressed with the Huawei Band 7

I would definitely recommend the Huawei Band to anyone looking for a affordable fitness tracker with plenty of features. The new workout status feature is a great addition, and I’m sure it will help many people improve their running. Thanks for reading!
