After owning the Huawei Watch Fit 2 for a month or so, I have to say that I am really impressed. The Watch Fit 2 really does align with my day to day activities. The one thing I also noticed in the features is something very new to the Watch Fit Series called Healthy Living.

What is the healthy living feature? well I guess the best way to explain it is that the feature provides a nice check list for you to complete to promote a healthy living lifestyle. The great thing about it is you take control on what you need. Which I think is very important.

After looking through this feature I think the healthy living feature will benefit anyone who wants to introduce healthy habit’s into their lifestyle. Which is fantastic for anyone that is just starting their fitness journey. To Achieve a healthy living lifestyle there is 10 to choose from

  • Sleep
  • Steps
  • Drink water
  • Breathe
  • Daily Smile
  • Daily Mindfulness
  • Medication reminder
  • Blood pressure measurement
  • Weight measurement

Obviously it comes down to your own physical capability, but apart from that it’s a very nice balance, and more importantly you can tailor a healthy living plan based on your needs. I will construct some idea’s on how to build a plan based on a specific need. I will explain this further into the article.

After using it for a while, I think this feature is very beneficial to anyone who is just starting out on their health journey, or is looking to improve their health. Which is basically what I am going to base my article on.

Normally when someone makes the commitment to start living healthy, they troll the internet for information on how to start. There is a lot of information out there and it can get confusing. Especially when you are getting advice from multiple sources.

That is why I think this feature is very useful. To begin healthy living doesn’t have to be complicated. The first step is always the hardest, but with this feature you can take baby steps. Which in my opinion is always better than no steps at all.

In my opinion, I think this is very important to share my experience with the healthy living feature. Before I do that I would like to share with you my goals for healthy living.

  • Activity time 90 minutes per day
  • Prioritize sleep health
  • Prioritize stress management
  • Maintain hydration

The above bullet points are my goals to live a healthy life and this will be something that you will need to do if you are to get the most out of this feature. This is my plan because I live a sedative lifestyle, which means I sit for long periods of time. I would be seated for 10 hours per day, 8 hours in the office, 1 hour to drive to work and 1 hour to drive home.

Let me show you my daily healthy living plan it will be the following.

  • Steps 6000 a day
  • Sleep 6-7 hours
  • Breathe
  • Daily Mindfulness
  • Drink water

If you live a sedative lifestyle like me, then the above profile will be suitable for you. All of the bullet points aligns really well with my personal health goals. I do struggle to hit the 6000 step per day because once I get back home from work, I have 4 hours left before I go to bed.

I think the tips that I am about to share with you will give you some idea on how to go about living a healthy life, and it really comes down to the following things apart from diet alone is

Be Active

I was going to use the words “Do more exercise” for the first bullet point, but it’s a lot more simpler than that. Using the words “be active” I think is the right terminology to be used. You dont have to train in the gym for hours on end, you just need to be active like walking, swimming, hiking, walking the dog or playing with the kids. Just do anything that requires you to move that’s all and you will be fine.

Manage Your Stress

The Watch Fit 2 have some great features that can help deal with stress. using the breathing exercise feature will help you lower your stress levels and it’s a great way to relax. I use this feature quite often, especially before I go to sleep. It allows me to decompress and make me go to sleep quicker, and more importantly improves your sleep quality.

Fit’s Within Your Lifestyle

Making a healthy living adjustment needs to co exist with your day to day life activities. Such as school pick ups, work or the kids sports. Healthy living is really about time for yourself and if you can find the time to do that, then you will be well on your way.
